IgG4ward! EuroJAM: Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions
As planning continues for the inaugural IgG4ward! EuroJAM, we have been hearing from many of you with thoughtful and important questions. Thank you for your engagement! Below, we share the details that are confirmed at this time. Additional information will be released as planning progresses.
This post answers some of the most common questions we have received so far, particularly around travel support, language accessibility, registration, and lodging. Importantly, we will continue to update you as more details become available.
IgG4ward! EuroJAM FAQ
Will travel stipends be available for the EuroJAM?
Yes. The IgG4ward! Foundation will offer travel stipends to help support attendance at the EuroJAM.
Because travel costs are a potential barrier to in-person meetings, our goal is to make participation as accessible as possible. We will share full information about travel stipends in the coming weeks, along with clear instructions on how to apply. Please check back regularly and watch for updates via email and our website.
Will translation services be offered?
Yes. Accessibility and inclusion are core values of the EuroJAM; therefore, language access remains a key priority.
To support our international community, we will offer translation services in at least three non-English languages, based on participant needs.
To plan effectively, we have added a language access question to the registration form. As a result, participant responses will guide which languages we support and help ensure resources are available where they are most needed.
Who can attend the EuroJAM?
The EuroJAM is designed for the IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) community, including:
People living with IgG4-RD
Caregivers and family members
Clinicians and healthcare professionals
Researchers and advocates
By bringing these groups together, the meeting aims to encourage shared learning and strengthen connections across the global IgG4-RD community. As planning continues, we will share additional details about programming and session formats.
Is there a registration fee?
No. Attendees may register for the IgG4ward! EuroJAM at no cost.
However, Industry representatives are required to pay a registration fee. We will share rates and registration instructions for industry attendees separately.
Our goal is to ensure broad access for the IgG4-related disease community while supporting the costs of hosting an international meeting.
What hotel and lodging options are available?
To support attendees traveling to London, we have secured preferential hotel rates at several properties located within a short walking distance of the venue (Senate House, University College London).
Because hotel rooms are limited, reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Availability cannot be guaranteed once allocated rooms are filled, so we strongly encourage early booking. Late May is a high-demand travel period in London.
Recommended Hotels:
Radisson Blu Tottenham Court Road (4-Star)
Royal National Hotel (3-Star)
Marker Hotel (2-Star)
Celtic Hotel (2-Star)
In addition, London offers many additional lodging choices, including hotels and short-term rentals such as Airbnb. Attendees may book accommodations independently, but we strongly recommend reserving early due to seasonal demand.
What should international attendees know about travel and visas?
Attendees traveling from outside the United Kingdom must ensure they meet UK entry requirements, including holding a valid passport and obtaining any required visa or travel authorization
Because visa requirements vary by nationality, we strongly encourage international attendees to:
Review UK travel and visa requirements early
Allow sufficient time for application processing
For official up-to-date information, please consult the UK Government website or your local embassy or consulate.
When will more information be shared?
Planning for the IgG4ward! EuroJAM is ongoing. Throughout this process, we remain committed to clear and timely communication as details are finalized.
Accordingly, we will share updates through the IgG4ward! Foundation website, email communications, and Foundation social media channels.
If you have a question not addressed here, or if you are unsure whether the EuroJAM will be accessible for you, please reach out. Because advocacy includes listening, we welcome your questions.
