New Year Message from Dr. John H. Stone
Happy New Year. Welcome to 2025
Dear IgG4-RD Community,
I hope that your Holidays were as restorative as mine were. I enter 2025 with visions of IgG4ward!’s first year and the November JAM still dancing in my head – and looking forward to the New Year.
As we open the book on the second full year of the Foundation’s existence, my purpose in writing is twofold:
To remind you of the continuing publication of content from November’s JAM
To share with you an outline of the Foundation’s Webinar program for 2025
JAM Content
For several weeks now, we have been publishing content – both lectures and breakout sessions – from the November, 2024 IgG4ward! Patient JAM in Tysons Corner, Virginia. You may find all of this content on the Resources section of our website.
Two lectures are being published this week:
Understanding the Extent of the Disease and Monitoring Over Time for Relapse
Dr. Mollie Carruthers
View lecturePublication of the JAM content will continue through the week of January 27th:
Avoiding Side-Effects of Treatment: Steroids, B-Cell Depletion and Proper Vaccines - Dr. John Stone
IgG4-RD and the Kidney - Dr. Saif Alenizi
Less Common IgG4-RD Manifestations - Dr. Guy Katz
We will announce each piece as it is published through our website, online community and other social media. You will also see some elements of the remaining JAM content periodically throughout 2025.
Webinar Series
Our live Webinar series begins on January 31. We currently have seven webinars planned but we’ve left plenty of room to add others as the year progresses. We anticipate that it will be important to highlight new areas of progress, respond to new developments and address the evolving needs of the IgG4-RD Community by planning new Webinars as the year proceeds.
The tentative titles and dates of the Webinars are listed below. Please note, the speakers will be announced well ahead of each Webinar.
January 31: Eating well for People Living with IgG4-RD - Kevin Walton
March 14: Pancreas and Bile Duct Disease
April 4: IgG4-RD Day!
All things B cells: Depletion, repletion, inhibition, remission
May 2: Caregivers’ Conversation: How to Talk to Family and Friends about your diagnosis
June 6: Retroperitoneal Fibrosis
August 8: Vaccinology for People Living with IgG4-RD: What do we need to know?
November 14: Caregivers' Conversation
We value your input and encourage you to share any ideas or suggestions you have for our upcoming Webinars and other Educational Content. Submit you ideas here.
