TexasJAM travel scholarships and parking assistance

IgG4ward! Foundation is offering a limited number of travel scholarships and parking vouchers to help people living with IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) and their caregivers attend TexasJAM on November 14, 2026, in Austin, Texas.

Travel scholarships provide partial assistance based on financial need, anticipated travel expenses, and available funding. Because funding is limited, we may not be able to support every applicant.

Who can apply?

People living with IgG4-RD and their caregivers who reside in the United States and plan to attend TexasJAM in person are welcome to apply.

Financial need and barriers to attendance will guide award decisions. Priority consideration will also be given to applicants from Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and New Mexico, and to first-time JAM attendees.

Please submit one application per household. One scholarship may help cover the shared eligible travel expenses of a patient and caregiver attending together.

Scholarship levels

Scholarship levels are based on the one-way driving distance from your travel starting point to the event venue:

• Local Access: $150 for 0–100 miles

• Regional Connection: $250 for 101–250 miles

• Extended Travel: $350 for 251 miles or more

These amounts describe the scholarship levels available, not a guaranteed award. Requests will be reviewed based on financial need, anticipated eligible expenses, other assistance received, and available funding.

Please use driving distance, not round-trip mileage, when completing your application. If you are unsure of the distance, you can indicate that on the form.

If you are traveling a shorter distance but face significant transportation or accessibility costs, please explain those needs in your application.

Parking assistance  

A limited number of parking vouchers are available upon request, with one voucher per vehicle, subject to availability.

You may request parking assistance without applying for a travel scholarship. If you are sharing a vehicle, only one person should request a voucher.

Please indicate on the application whether you need parking. A request does not reserve a voucher. The Foundation will confirm availability and provide instructions before the event.

Do not include parking covered by a Foundation voucher in your estimated travel expenses.

How to apply

Complete the application using the button below. The application is available in English and Spanish.

You will be asked about your travel plans, anticipated expenses, and how assistance would help you attend. Brief answers and your best estimates are sufficient.

Medical records, proof of diagnosis, and detailed financial documents are not required.

The Foundation may contact you to clarify your request. Approved applicants will receive written confirmation of their scholarship amount and any parking arrangements.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a scholarship or parking voucher. Awards depend on the review of each request and available funding. Please wait for written confirmation before relying on this assistance.

When and how will scholarships be provided?

Scholarships will be issued after your attendance at TexasJAM is confirmed.

Approved recipients will receive a gift card through PerfectGift.com, either electronically or by mail. You can indicate your preferred delivery method on the application.

PerfectGift.com handles card delivery, and delivery times may vary. Electronic cards may have restrictions for in-store purchases. Staff will confirm the card format with approved recipients. If you request a physical card, a mailing address will be collected after approval.

If your plans change

Please notify the Foundation as soon as possible if you can no longer attend or no longer need a parking voucher. This helps us make limited assistance available to others.
